With any successful affiliate marketing campaign, there are certain tasks that you must do in order to find any success online. You need to have a product or service, you need to be able to drive traffic and you need to be able to convert that traffic in order to get paid.
Yet, the one thing that most people forget about or don’t think is all that necessary (and they couldn’t be more wrong) is finding an audience and not just any audience, but a targeted audience.
Creating Compelling Ad Copy for Your Affiliate Marketing Training
Designing an affiliate campaign to your audience is a task or skill that you must learn and as you do it more often, you will get even better at creating compelling landing page headlines, email subject lines and video sales letters.
One of the primary elements that we look at when it comes to crafting our titles and subject lines or even whole emails is focusing on the “pain points” that our target audience has.
The Painful Side of Your Audience
Pain Points are the issues, concerns and problems that your audience has that need to be addressed by you. You are the one with the solutions to their problems and you need to make sure that you are ready to serve those prospects.
Affiliate marketing is no different in this aspect. Just because you have that “perfect program” or “perfect product” your audience will never know that if they do not have a compelling reason to check your products out.
Why would what you have be a compelling product or service?
I work in the make money online niche, this is why I chose affiliate marketing in the first place, it can be quite lucrative! For many in this MMO niche, there are specific reasons WHY they may be looking for what you have.
Since a main product for me will be training others how to get involved in affiliate marketing, perhaps many courses surrounding affiliate marketing as well, I’m going to be looking at why someone would be interested in marketing online.
Targeted Audience Pain Points
So here are some reasons or pain points why someone might look at affiliate marketing as an option to generate income.
Limited job options. Many people may feel that their career options are restricted. Maybe it’s a physical location or maybe there aren’t really any opportunities for growth or advancement.
Commuting To and From Work. Who in the world likes to sit in rush hour traffic for a couple of hours a day? You start the day stressed out from traffic and you end your workday stressing out from traffic.
Stay at Home With the Kids. Although this may, more often than not, be something women think about more than men, most people would love the opportunity to be home with their family more often if not permanently.
Limitations of Income. Whether you are on salary, commission or work by the hour, there are only 24 hours in the day and there is only one of you. Affiliate marketing is a perfect opportunity for an unlimited income potential.
These are just a few examples of the pain points that my audience may have. And affiliate marketing training can be a solution for all of these problems, but it is still my job to craft the marketing campaigns that offer solutions to those problems.
Folks, affiliate marketing may not be the only game going on for generating an income online, but it’s a good place to start for many people. Just remember that you must have the mindset that you are here to serve, helping people to resolve those painful issues that drive them to your door.
